Jhansi ki Rani ends today..the tv series...I had been devotedly watching it Since May last..when i was home after convocation..

The series had actually been on airs for few months already..but at ACJ, there was no scope to watch..i did have a studio apartment..fully furnished..and with TV too...but there was hardly time to spare..

I guess i first watched the series during the winters of 2009-10..the second sems had ended, and i was holidaying at home..i instantly was in love with it..

All those abeyant thoughts...the childhood memories...the flame that ignited my mind once, had come crowding back again..

I think I was three...muma had put a large poster in the wall..next to our bed...it listed the heroes of the war..the 1857 revolutionaries..

But, the only person who had overwhelmed my visions, was this gallant queen...i'd ask mumma to recount me her tales almost every night..and she'd oblige willingly..

There was this Azadi ki Kahani on Doordarshan..aired on saturday mornings..every week they'd essay the life and travails of the war heroes by turn..and i remember this particular saturday, when muma was gettin' ready for her classes..

While i was all glued to tv..watching this charismatic Rani....muma was about to go...and i remember i was totally baffled..how could anybody miss the episode and be off for college..it was Jhansi ki rani special...??

There was this chapter on the queen in the soc science book...during std 1.. the teacher said she'd skip it, since we all must be knowing about the queen already..and i had feigned i was ignorant..i could never let that be skipped...

Today i'd watch the last episode...i had cried in the finale...when it was aired on Doordarshan...in 1996...

Im sure id be very upset this time too...im already depressed thinking there wouldn't be the episodes from monday...what would i do btw 8 and 8:30??
